Sa Buem Nim (SBN) Brenden originally started training in martial arts for fitness and wellbeing, having spent time in his youth practising Judo. Once he discovered Kuk Sool Won in 2004, and realised that this martial art offered a great deal more, he became an avid student and practitioner. PSBN Brenden enjoys the many different aspects of Kuk Sool Won and says,
“As a traditional martial art, Kuk Sool Won focusses not only on core fundamentals but expands to include everything from striking & kicking through to weapons and a vast array of self-defence techniques. It is this diverse and well-rounded system that makes Kuk Sool Won so addictive to learn and want to practice as much as possible”
SBN Brenden was awarded his 4th Degree Black belt in 2020, and took over the Hastings school from Master Robin in 2018. He continues to practice under the careful tutelage of Master Robin, and is actively training for his 5th Degree. SBN Brenden is a skilled instructor and enjoys teaching the next generation of students.
